Curious Explorers in Fleet is set within a former family home that has been transformed into a home away from home children’s day nursery with a very spacious garden complete with an apple tree and area for children to grow their own fruit and vegetables.

The children move freely through the five familiar homely rooms. The harmonious décor, original features and large windows create a relaxed and warm atmosphere.

They have a fantastic team of highly qualified, committed staff, providing high quality care for children between the ages of birth and 5 years of age. Staff ensure children's social; personal and communication skills are developed via the nursery's many fun activities and child-led play opportunities.

They do believe children learn so much more by being outside, therefore they have Forest School Sessions throughout the week and encourage lots of outdoor play whatever the weather.

Their inhouse cooks plans and prepare healthy, well – balanced and delicious meals for all children to enjoy.

Following on from my teaching background, I ensure all children are planned for and developed to their full potential at their own pace. An online learning journal tracks each child’s progress and can be accessed by parents and carers.

Our son was a Curious Explorer from 11 months old until the week he started school so we have experience of the baby room, toddler room and the preschool. I am so glad that we were able to secure a place at Curious Explorers and my son had the most wonderful 3 years there. We knew from our initial
visit that this was where we wanted our son to be cared for and learn. All of the staff were warm and friendly and all of the children looked so happy and were clearly having a wonderful time! Having looked at other settings i really felt that the level of engagement between staff and children and the warm homely friendly feel really set Curious Explorers apart from other options. My son bonded well with staff, made lovely friends, ate super home cooked food, learnt so much and enjoyed so many experiences, activities and opportunities. I would highly recommend Curious Explorers to others, we really miss being there!

We kept our son at Curious explorers from 11 months until the week before he started school and are so glad we found it.
The team is extraordinary- they love and nurture the children with tailored learning including additional support and necessary referrals.
Daily handovers are done with a smile,
and incidents are well handled with clear communication.
The environment is safe and fun and well organised with lovely outdoor learning opportunities. My son adored the food and had a lovely friendship with the cook because he enjoyed eating everything she made so much.
We are going to miss the team as much as our boy will. We know that he was loved there and we saw the efforts put into his development by the staff.
Would recommend to any local parents.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was just one, and honestly, I can't imagine a better place for her to have spent these early years. The staff are all so caring and kind and its such a comfort as a parent to drop your little one off and know they're in such good hands.
The manager,
is absolutely wonderful. She's warm, approachable, and you can see how much she cares, not just about the children but about the whole team. She has created such a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere and its always the warmest welcome at drop-off and pickup!
Over the years, I've watched my daughter grow in confidence, make friends, and have such great opportunities at Curious Explorers. We will always be so grateful for the wonderful care and love she (and her older sister) were shown there and what a huge part this nursery has played in our lives for the past 5 years.
In summary, we can't recommend Curious Explorers highly enough!!

We couldn't be happier with the care our daughter received at Curious Explorers. She spent almost three years progressing from the baby room through to pre-school and she is now thriving and ready for school. The staff are all professional, caring, and fun and the nursery itself is well equipped in

My son attended the baby room of this nursery and absolutely loved it! It is a lovely home-from-home environment which was a great transition for my baby. The staff members were so kind and caring, I always felt at ease when dropping him off. The staff keep you really up to date with what they are up

My son loves his days at nursery and really looks forward to going.
The team are fantastic! They are really friendly and professional, and you can tell that they enjoy what they do, the kids love them.
The facilities are great and the setting is perfect for my son. He loves being outside and it's
great that they get out as much as possible.
We are sad that he will be leaving soon, but want to thank the team for looking after him and teaching him so well, especially throughout the pandemic, it couldn't have been easy but you made it look effortless and we really appreciate it.
Thank you, he will miss you all lots!

Wonderful, caring staff characterise this nursery. They must have a low turnover because some of the staff also cared for my eldest several years ago. The baby room is well run with a fantastic range of activities and the garden provision is a highlight. I would not hesitate to recommend Curious Explorers.

My son only attended Curious Explorers for a term and I was worried if it was the right thing to do putting him in a setting for such a short time. The team were fabulous in helping him feel settled and he found lots of new friends to spend time with.


The team were very aware of his interests and

playmates and allowed him to transition between two rooms and outside so he could be with his friends.


I really appreciate the effort the owner made to make a space available for my son to attend. She was always a constant face in the nursery and ready with a warm welcome for parents.


My son will be attending school soon and it’s lovely that some of the friendships he has established in the nursery will hopefully continue.

We are extremely happy with Curious Explorers. The staff are enthusiastic, caring and passionate about 'their' kids.
We have seen the nursery/pre-school develop significantly under current ownership.
We feel our child has benefitted greatly from attending.

Our daughter has been attending Curious Explorers for the last four weeks and she has settled in very well. The staff are very caring and flexible ensuring that our daughter's individual needs are catered for. The nursery is very clean with great spaces for all ages and the garden is very large and
well used which was a key consideration of ours when deciding on a nursery. The staff do all sorts of different activities with the children to deliver a varied and interesting day for them which was another important factor when we were deciding on a nursery. The nursery uses an app called Daily Connect to keep you up to speed with what your child is doing during the day and it is so lovely to see pictures and know what your child is doing and much easier than papers or books at the end of the day.

Both of my boys are extremely happy at Curious Explorers. This is no surprise as the management, staff and environment are outstanding. We now have our second Child at Curious Explorers, both have been very happy and content. From a parent's perspective, the nursery offers excellent flexibility and is always happy to take on board and action any comments you make. The owners and staff are friendly and professional, and we have seen

An outstanding nursery. My son loves going, is happy, well stimulated and continues to develop both socially and mentally. The staff are kind and caring and communicate well. The setting provides everything my son loves and needs! The garden provides great space for playing and even growing their own
lunch! Meals are home cooked and even my fussy eater loves them!
