Park House is a small, friendly well-equipped nursery situated in Cookham, Berkshire. Located in close to the local shops and railway station. The nursery occupies a beautiful house which has been designed and equipped to meet the needs of children from 3 months to 5 years.

There are cosy baby rooms for children under two years with a separate sleep room. Two small toddler rooms for children aged two to three years. The Pre-school for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years is based in two rooms one of which is used for creative play including painting, sand and water. The nursery provides a wide variety of activities appropriate to the child’s age and stage of development to support their learning, development and well-being.

The nursery benefits from a large enclosed outdoor play area. Staff take children on regular walks to the park and to feed the ducks or see the cows and horses. They also look at the trains at the railway station and sometimes go for a ride on the train to Marlow or Bourne End.

Our daughter has been at Park House for nearly two years and she loves it. There's been great consistency with the staff over this time and they've really got to know her and encouraged her and supported her development. There's a great blend of organised activities and free play, with the kids also
able to get outside frequently - not just in the nursery garden but also enjoying trips to the park, to the library and to learn about transport. We get regular updates including photos on what the children have been up to using the app and get developmental observations specific to our daughter so we get a good insight into how she is getting on. Our daughter has built strong bonds with both other children and with the staff in all 3 rooms she has been in and we've seen her grow in confidence and develop a range of skills during the time she has been there.

My daughter seems to really enjoy her time in the nursery , and is happy going which makes it easier for mummy & daddy leaving her , she seems to also have learnt round & round the garden and shows me with her hands , so far I'm really pleased how she's coming along , the only thing I would say is
since joining the nursery she seems to keep getting nappy rash , which I believe is a combination of the different nappies the nursery's uses to ours & not putting on barrier cream at every nappy change , if this is happening to other parents I would suggest providing the nursery your own , as it helped us with our daughter preventing her from getting further nappy rash


But other than that no other problems from us

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Staff are all so lovely and caring and have taken the time to get to know my child. Staff are almost always the same and the turnover seems low which is absolutely amazing. My daughter is thriving here, and after a very bad experience from another nursery, we couldn't be

Brilliant staff and very reliable and communicative. Staff turnover is very low which speaks volumes as so often not the case with other nurseries.
Very helpful in supporting your child's routine. Very good with supporting potty training.


Only criticism would be that the food could be improved

to make it a bit more nutritional I.e not always cereal for breakfast.


Overall really happy with Park House and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other parents. My daughter loves it and loves the staff too!

I can't fault this setting. Our son is happy there and since joining his language skills have improved dramatically. The staff are very collaborative and work with us on changes in routine as he entered a preschool. He knows very carer very well by their name and they also know him well too. The garden
to play at and park opposite provides a great learning experience and fun to be at all day. Just lovely!!!

My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 1, she started in May 2023 and absolutely loves it. The staff are really welcoming and caring. They’re always extremely responsive if ever I message with any questions. I love how all the staff know all the children even if they aren’t in their
room, it sums up the friendly atmosphere. They also take the children out on little trips for walks and to the library. My little girl started in the baby room and has recently moved up a class and the transition has been really smooth.

My child loves coming to nursery. I was a very nervous parent, having had a previous bad experience at a different nursery, and all of the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. I have absolutely no issues with anything here. My son has learned so much since coming here, and I recommend it to anyone

My daughter has been at Park House Nursery since she was 10 months old. She loves coming into the nursery and the staff have been amazing with all the exciting walks and activities they do for the children. It is great to see the daily/weekly updates via the app and we can see how much fun she has.
I would highly recommend the nursery.

I have to say I really love this nursery, the staff are so lovely and my child loves going and gets so excited when we get there in the mornings. I love seeing all the things he has been up to on the app they have, which is just fantastic, it’s nice to be able to check up on him throughout my working
day and seeing how they help improve my child’s development. Would 100% recommend this nursery.

The new manager and room leaders have had such a positive impact on Park House. My children (Toddler and Pre-school) have always been extremely happy at the nursery but I’ve seen a marked improvement in the quality of care and education on offer this year.
It’s great to have consistent feedback linked
to the EYFS via Famly, as well as having more structure and variety to activities on offer to the children. The staff are brilliant and I feel confident that my children are in very safe hands. It’s a fantastic little nursery with a homely feel.

Everyone at the nursery is lovely but the change of staff is a bit intense even for adults to keep up and get to know who is looking after our child. As a consequence, I really feel like there’s been delay in potty training progress of our daughter: we constantly have to remind staff to help her when
she’s at nursery. There does not seem to be a place where her training is documented and with each change of personnel, we have to explain again that our daughter is going through her training.

I am extremely happy with the care my daughter receives at nursery and feel she is looked after with love and care by the staff. It would be great to see more pictures and information of her day at nursery, but I also appreciate how busy the staff must be and interacting with the children is more important

The boys seem to have settled in well and staff have been friendly and caring towards my children. The activities are fun and varied and I love seeing the photos and videos at home during the day on the app. I have seen my children grow in confidence and their development since starting.

My child has been very happy during her time at Park House Nursery particularly since the staff have become more settled. My child is very attached to her carers and we are very happy with the staff. At times Park House Nursery can be quite strict with illnesses with children have to be taken home.
I wouldn't have any reservation in recommending.
