Pride and joy have been like family to me and my children. My son attended 2 years and he enjoyed his journey there. It's safe place and very clean lots of activities for the children. This year my daughter joined and she is loving it.The staff are very friendly and tries to understand the child and
work around working parents. I personally love this nursery and management as they became like family to us. Whenever we need help they are there for us. Wouldn't have recommended any another nursery than pride and joy. Our experience here is the best .

My son attends this nursery and I'm so happy to have finally found a nursery where I feel safe to leave my son and he always comes out clean and happy and I feel the communication from staff is always great.

Would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.

Nothing but positive things to say about the nursery and staff.

I was very happy with the staff and the nursery. My child got comfortable around everyone quickly which made things easier for me.
I thank them for taking us in so smoothly. My child was happy about being taken to the park and riding the scooter.

First of all, I am very thankful to all the teachers and staff for providing a very good learning environment for our child. A special thanks to one member of staff in particular who provides me very flexible hours according to my situation. My experience with the nursery is very great. My daughter
loves to go to nursery. She learns lots of activities over there. Overall, my experience was very great and joyful.

An outstanding nursery in all aspects! All the teachers are very friendly and nice. Unlike other nurseries, they are not business minded. Money is never the main consideration but the growth and development of child is. Location wise, it is within Spike Bridge Park which is very beautiful. Both of the
owners are very accommodating and helpful. My daughter always felt at home in the nursery and we were never worried while leaving her. She learnt a lot of skills and has grown both physically and mentally for which I am very grateful. Teachers monitor the child's progress in many aspects and make notes as they review their activity and progress through their time.

My daughter went to their after school club and holiday club. She has been at the club for 3 years.
She made plenty of friends and she always felt very welcomed by all the staff and children. She is very sad that she no longer will attend this beautiful family setting as she is now 9 years old. The
setting is up to 9 years old.
As a lone working parent, I am extremely grateful for the support the staff provided for me and my daughter. The setting gave me last minute booking for the school training days etc. I cannot thank all the staff for the lovely care, support and love they provided for us. I always felt secure and safe leaving her at this lovely setting.
Thank you Pride &Joy.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.233)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.233) out of 10 for Pride & Joy Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.458 for Pride & Joy Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (26 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.458
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pride & Joy Day Nursery is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.4
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
