Love all the staff, they know our children really well and always look after them exceptionally well. Particularly one incident when my child was sick the staff went above and beyond to make sure I got to hospital ok

We've been really impressed with Barley Barn since our son started nursery there in February. He loves the staff and all the stimulation they provide. The food goes down really well - he always has seconds - healthy and delicious. Staff and management are always happy to have a chat and explain things with you, and are happy to take feedback on board. We receive lots of cute pictures and plenty of communication at handover. Our son is full time and they almost feel like family now we see them so much. Really pleased with our experience.

I have two children at Sawbridgeworth and I can honestly say the staff from the baby room all the way through to the pre-school room have been/are fantastic. They really take the time to get to know your child and my eldest, who has been there for around 3 years now, has formed close bonds with the staff. My youngest has complex additional needs and the whole team have been so open and willing to support him, which has really helped us as parents feel confident and happy when dropping him off at nursery. Highly recommend.

Having had a not-so-good nursery experience with our daughter, choosing a nursery for our son was a difficult decision. But Asquith Barley Barn Sawbridgeworth quickly put us at ease. He settled very quickly into the baby room, forming strong attachments with the friendly, attentive staff. He has a manageable medical condition, and the team put a clear plan in place from day one, giving us great peace of mind. His confidence and speech improve daily, and he now happily walks into nursery without hesitation. The girls in the baby/toddler room are fantastic, and the chef's food is clearly a hit with him, as he always wants more. He's preparing to move up to the nursery room soon and already loves it there. We're so grateful for the care and support he's received. Highly recommended!

Wow, where do I begin with this nursery. Returning back to work after having two young children can be extremely daunting, but the ladies at the nursery have never been anything short of warm, supportive and just amazing. There is a family feel with the nursery, where all the staff know the names of children even if they don't personally look after them. My little girl struggled a bit at first, but each day the key workers at the time would call me to let me know how she was getting on. Giving me the reassurance I needed and making the experience an easier one for me. We're always receiving regular updates via the app, with this being updated on time to reflect my little ones have eaten in the day, to what activities they've been part of. Each day is different, always something new and exciting for the children. Also, a note to say that anything that is raised with the team is dealt with in such a professional manner and always with your child's interest in mind!

Our daughter has been at nursery in Sawbridgeworth for about a year now and she absolutely loves it. All the staff there are friendly, welcoming and caring and my wife and I have nothing but very positive and kind things to say about the nursery. The staff have excellent communication skills and keep you updated with everything that's going on with my daughter through the app and it's brilliant to see all the fun and exciting activities that my daughter does during the day which makes her happy but also develops all of her skills too. The food at nursery is amazing too and my daughter has a couple of allergies but the chef and staff there are very considerate in making sure my daughter eats the correct food. It's the people who make this nursery what it is and the manager and the girls are excellent and make the children and parents so calm and relaxed with their professionalism. Not surprised with their recent outstanding Ofsted result as you can see they have high standards at the nursery.

My daughter started nursery back in October 2023, her settling-in process was well managed and all of the team made us feel welcome and at ease. My daughter has learned so much in the past 6 months and I am sure this is mainly because of how much care and focus goes into her day to day activities. My daughter is very happy here and although it’s hard leaving her I feel secure knowing she is well cared for. Thank you for all you do!

We have used Barley Barn since 2020 for our daughter and now our 20-month-old attends in the nursery room. They have both had great experiences there, forming strong relationships with room staff. Food choice and volume has been excellent. We are kept up to date with the app so always know what is going on. Through regular observations, reports and parent's evenings I feel we have a good understanding of developmental attainment.

Our little boy absolutely loves going to nursery at Barley Barn. He is thriving there and we couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery for him. All the staff are lovely especially his key workers who he loves and has such a great relationship with. His day is full of fun, creative and engaging activities and they hold lots of lovely events for the little ones throughout the year. We would absolutely recommend this nursery.

We’ve been using Barley Barn for childcare since 2020 when our oldest child turned one. I only have praise for the nursery. The manager runs a tight ship and the nursery has gone from strength to strength. The communication to parents is good and recent renovation work has really improved the physical environment for the children. Most importantly, my children have always been happy there. The staff are happy and approachable and I am always well informed of any knocks or bumps the children have had, or when they are not quite themself. From a development perspective my oldest child started school with the confidence to engage with unfamiliar adults and other children and with the ability to write her name and confidently write letters, with a good understanding of the world around her. This has very much come from the support she’s had from Barley Barn. Both children have always received encouragement in whatever stage of learning they have been at.

My daughter loves going to Bright Horizons in Sawbridgeworth. She has made lots of friends and the activities are vast and help with her learning, she even asks to go on her days off! The staff are lovely and supportive. We’ve been very happy sending our daughter here for the last year!

Really pleased with Barley Barn Nursery. The nursery staff are all very friendly, helpful and attentive. My toddler is very happy going here each day and has really developed in confidence since starting. My toddler really enjoys the activities and loves the food that is served each day. The nursery has a really good offering of a variety of tasty meals to the children. My toddler also gets some good outdoor time if the weather is nice. The nursery are brilliant with keeping parents up to date with their child's progress. The nursery have just received an "outstanding" Ofsted rating. I'm very pleased to send my toddler here.

From his settling in days, I could tell that my son was going to be happy at Barley Barn. The staff were so kind, accommodating and reassuring. Once he started, he has thrived. He is happy every day when I collect him and they do so many different things with him. He paints, he dances, he builds with blocks and we have really noticed how much he is developing in the 4 months that he has been there. Really, I couldn’t be happier with the service and care that we get from the nursery staff. It’s a warm and nurturing environment and I see the result of that every day when I pick him up and he bounces out the room.

My little boy absolutely loves this nursery and has such a great bond with all members of staff. Myself and the practitioners in his room have such a great partnership when it comes to my little boy, they are always handing out advice if I need it and always are working on his development while keeping me in the loop of things. My child has a great bond with his key worker and is always talking about her at home; she has definitely helped with his development, he is always happy and excited to see her when he’s in nursery.

Our daughter has been at the nursery for over a year now and has been in two rooms, early preschool and pre-school, and we have had an excellent experience throughout. The staff are absolutely lovely and have a very genuine, caring approach. The days are very well planned out to give the children a brilliant balance of stimulating and fun tasks. Communication from the nursery is also excellent, the app that we use makes it very easy to see how the day is unfolding, and the pictures we get frequently make our day! Our daughter has always been happy at the nursery and we've been really impressed with the service delivered and the experience overall.

My little boy started at the nursery in August 2023 (9 months old). He settled really well into the baby room, establishing bonds with all the girls in the room. He absolutely thrived in the baby room, learning new things every day! I was able to see what he was doing by pictures on the app, which made me feel at ease being able to see he was happy! My little boy has numerous allergies, and the chef/nursery catered for all his needs. He has recently moved into the nursery room, where he once again, has built bonds with all the girls. He continues to learn and develop every day and comes home doing new things all the time! The outstanding Ofsted rating is a true reflection of this nursery!

My partner and I looked at a few nurseries for our daughter and Asquith Barley Barn was the second nursery we visited, and it was the one that left a lasting memory when we went home and had to decide. From the minute you walk through the door, you have a real sense of family, genuine care and a warm, happy, inviting place. All the children were so polite and happy in greeting us as we did our tour, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our daughter has been there since January, and I can honestly say she is thriving and happy. She kicks her little legs every morning in excitement as she’s carried through the front gate, and the smiles she gives to all the staff, just signify how happy she is there, and that comes down to the special environment that the staff have created and the care they give each and every child. As a family, we feel very lucky to have found her a place here, and we are so excited for her future with Sawbridgeworth.

My daughter has attended this nursery since May 2023, and she has enjoyed every moment of it! It is a fantastic nursery; staff really go above and beyond to ensure all children are well looked after and having lots of fun. Management is excellent, and the level of communication with parents, cannot be faulted. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Our son has been going to Sawbridgeworth nursery for 5 months (started at 1 year old) and has really settled so well. The staff there genuinely care about his stimulation and development and updates are given on pick-up very day as well as being logged on the app - the communication here is great, photos of his day and what and how much he has eaten, nap times, etc. Parents are encouraged to share their thoughts and can call to speak to the nursery if they have any concerns through the day. So far we are really happy and you can see how much fun the children have with different activities each day.

We had tried two nurseries previous to Asquith Barley Barn Sawbridgeworth Day Nursery (Barley Barn had been our first choice but no spaces) where our daughter (aged 2 and a half at the time) just did not settle and there were tears at drop-off every day. In the second week of attending Barley Barn, she was going in without even saying goodbye to us! When joining we had concerns about delayed development, especially speech. Since starting, we have been amazed, literally, each week how she has flourished from attending just three half days each week. She has now left to start school in September as a confident and happy little girl.
