View Full Details of Bright Horizons Eltham Elizabeth Terrace Day Nursery and PreschoolOur son started nursery at 15 months, and this August marks his last month before starting preschool. As first-time parents, we were anxious about leaving him - but choosing Elizabeth Terrace was one of the best decisions we made. From the start, the warmth and care of the team made a real difference. They helped our son settle in with love and confidence, and supported us as parents too. Over time, our son has grown into a happy, curious, and emotionally balanced little boy - which was all I ever hoped for from this journey. To other parents - especially working mums feeling the same nerves I once did - know that the right nursery truly does make a difference. We'll always be grateful for the support, joy, and guidance Elizabeth Terrace gave our son during his early years.
The staff at the nursery have been welcoming and very professional since day one. We feel that our baby is in good hands and positively changed.
Our daughter has been going here for year and a half and we're delighted with the nursery. Our daughter loves it there and would probably live there if she could. Staff are amazing and there seems to be new activities for the kids every day. Our expectations have been more than exceeded
Lovely nursery, my daughter has been attending for 18 months and loves it there. The staff seem to know all of the children really well given it's a smaller nursery and the range of activities they do and extra things organised for parents and children are really great. We've had a really positive experience so far and will soon be sending our second child here too soon.
Both of my children love this nursery, their friends and the staff. My eldest moved over from another nursery aged 2 and my youngest started at 1, and the staff were fantastic at supporting them to settle in. The team are very inclusive, and get to know each child really well, which is key. As well as supporting each child's individual interests, they encourage new activities and make a huge effort with social events and special visits. All of the staff are enthusiastic and well-managed: compared to previous experiences with other nurseries, they are cohesive and consistent which makes a huge difference. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking.
We cannot praise this nursery enough. My eldest child attended from 11 months old till he went to school. My youngest started at 10 months and is about to turn 3 there. From the extra activities put on (visits from the fire brigade and police, afternoon teas for mother's and father's day, and all-day winter celebrations) to the innovative and crazy ways to do messy play, dancing, singing and reading - it feels like the team helps our children to explore it all and have such fun whilst learning. The thing I would rate top is the team members caring for the children. It is a big thing to leave your babies with someone else to be looked after but the team here made that easier. They are patient and attentive and helped our children to understand and manage their big feelings, especially when handling social challenges with their peers. We would definitely recommend this nursery, and we have done so to many friends.
The nursery staff are so attentive and make sure each child gets treated as an individual. They are very supportive and understanding. They are pro active in ensuring all children including those with SEN get all the support they need. Their app is really good as well and lets you keep track of your child's progress and they take really nice pictures and give regular reports . I am very pleased with the nursery setting , staff and management. Would recommend it to any parent.
My 2yo has been at Elizabeth Terrace for 7 months and he loves going to nursery - his key person is like a third parent, he looks forward to seeing her so much! There's a great balance of freedom and opportunity/support to explore, and gentle introduction to the skills he's going to need for school like sitting still and listening...! He's been struggling with potty training and the staff have been so understanding and patient, and full of tips to try and help him. A kind, nurturing place with a sense of community.
Absolutely outstanding! All the staff are wonderful, caring, and supportive, my child loves the nursery and has lots of fun through different creative and educational activities. And she loves the food!
Both our children attend Bright Horizons Elizabeth Terrace and we are absolutely delighted with the nursery. The quality of care and learning our children receive is superb. What I like most about the nursery is how well the team know our children and how well we know the team. Our eldest previously attended another larger nursery and it lacked the close connection between the staff that really comes across strongly at Elizabeth Terrace. A new management team took over about 18 months ago and they have done a brilliant job bringing fresh ideas to learning and development. They are building a nice community feel where parents feel engaged. We get a huge amount of information about our children from the app. The chef is superb (I have tasted his food) and the meals are healthy and nutritious. Most importantly our children are really happy. They have a wide circle of friends and are developing socially and academically. Elizabeth Terrace is equipping them so well for their next step.
My husband and I are very pleased with this day care. We looked at many options before signing up with them and we are glad we chose them. In just a couple of months our 11 month old baby has settled in and clearly enjoys it a lot. The care team in the baby room are fantastic, they pay close attention to baby's needs and always take the time to give me a detailed update. Shout out to one staff member who our baby has quickly warmed up to - she puts my mind at ease and answers all my questions so patiently. The entire team do a wonderful job: four members of staff in particular and everyone who pitches in. Management are lovely, warm people and also professional, very responsive, and supportive. Also the food is nutritious and clearly delicious, baby often eats better at day care than at home! I especially liked that we did six settle sessions at the start of the process, slowly warming baby up to the nursery environment over six days. Highly recommend this nursery.
Excellent nursery with experienced staff that knows the children under their care very well. There is a real palpable sense of teamwork, open communication and community spirit. Definitely rubs off on my child (18 months old) and all his nursery friends. 100% recommend to other families. P.s the chef really cares about the food he cooks and knows all the children well.
We are very happy with our nursery. Our son started attending since he was 6 months old (full-time). He got a warm welcome and settled in with no problems. The staff are lovely, caring and responsive to parents' requests. Our boy has got a special bond with his key carer and we know he is well taken care of when he is in the nursery. The carers organise activities also for babies so the day is interesting also for the tiny explorers. He loves the food too! We get lots of pictures through the nursery app so we know our son is having a great time there.
I couldn't be happier with the Elizabeth Terrace Day Nursery! My baby started attending it one and a half months ago, when he was 11 months old. Before then, he used to be with me all the time, so I was concerned about leaving him with others. Now I can say that my baby loves going there, they do a lot of activities, the environment is stimulating, the carers are very sweet and attentive to his needs. Since he started, he has made a lot of progress in a number of areas, such as body movements, independence and socialization. We can follow his daily activities almost in real-time as the carers write everything in the nursery app and upload photos. They also do a periodical development assessment to keep us updated on our baby's skills. My son loves his key person, carers, new friends and food! Really recommend this nursery!
Could not be happier with this nursery. The team are friendly, supportive and my son has thrived here. Management and his key person are proactive about any query we have and there is always an exciting project, theme or day he looks forward to and learns from
Our daughter is in the preschool room and greatly enjoys her time while at the setting twice a week. She talks about her practitioners as 'my teachers' and her peers as 'students'. We are Muslims so she is served with a vegetarian menu. The staff is amazing and caring and listens to our concerns with complete understanding. Parents are encouraged to go inside each room to drop off and pick up the child. We stay updated with our daughter's activities each day related to each area of development through photos and descriptions (shared through the app). We are quite contented with the quality of care our daughter has been provided with.
A very good nursery. My little girl is so happy. The staff are very friendly and professional. My daughter has been going to Bright Horizons for 5 months now and she loves it. I’m happy with the feedback that I get when I pick her up as I’m well informed about my child’s activity and her progress. I love the fact that she’s learning and gaining new skills. She’s always talking about the staff especially her key person and her friends.
The staff at the nursery are incredibly kind and friendly, you can tell how much our son loves nursery and enjoys being with the staff and other children just by how happy he is to see them when we drop him off in the morning, always reaches out for them to hold him. My wife and I would 100% recommend them to friends.
Our daughter has been very happy at Bright Horizons, ever since her first day. The staff are all outstanding. We enjoy reading about what she gets up to during the day and appreciate the art, etc that she brings home with her.
My daughter is very happy attending this nursery and I have no complaints. The staff are all friendly and caring. I feel comfortable leaving my daughter in their care and confident she's being well looked after. There's a good range of activities that the children get involved in and my daughter has definitely learned lots and gained in social skills and confidence since attending.
