Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Shine Childcare, a four-setting day nursery group located across the North of England.
Founded in April 2004, Shine Childcare is a family-run private nursery group that has steadily grown to now comprise four freehold day nursery settings: Little Angels in Huddersfield, Newbank House in Oldham, Tiny Tree in Halifax, and Tiny Tree in Leeds.
Together, they have an operational capacity of 570 places, alongside an organic development opportunity to register an additional 60 places at the Tiny Tree setting in Halifax, increasing the total potential capacity to 630 places across the group. The portfolio provides full-day childcare from birth to 11 years, including before and after-school provision and holiday clubs, with all settings conveniently situated for local families and commuters.
Following a confidential sales process with Courteney Donaldson and Nick Brown at Christie & Co, the group has been sold to Kids Planet Day Nurseries, which now owns over 250 settings across the UK. This acquisition further strengthens Kids Planet’s presence in the region and aligns with its commitment to providing exceptional childcare services.
Nick Brown, Head of Brokerage – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, comments, “We are thrilled to have successfully facilitated this significant transaction. The portfolio represents an outstanding opportunity for Kids Planet to expand its footprint and continue delivering excellence in early years education. All parties have done a fabulous job in getting this renowned group to completion.”
Shine Childcare was sold for an undisclosed price.
