WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 24TH NOVEMBER 2025

We will be learning -

Clever Cat Next week in Clever Cats we are going to be looking at road safety and road signs. We are going to look at the shapes and what they mean. The children are also going to look at following directions and using the bee bot! The Clever Cats will be creating their own route for their daily mile. The song of the week is ‘Stop And Go’ and our book of the week is ‘Boundary Bubble’.

Clever Kittens Next week the Clever Kittens will be looking at road safety. We will be doing this by going on adventure walks and talking about roads and why cars might be dangerous as well as how to properly cross the road. We will also be being our own cars in the traffic light game looking at   stop ?? get ready ?? GO ?? following this we will be looking at bee bot technology making the bee bot go round the track. 

Ladybirds Next week the Ladybirds will be looking at vehicles and road safety! They will be able to explore a train track and road set up with trains and cars for them to push along and play with, while talking about the cars and why we have to be careful when crossing roads. The children will also be exploring paint using their hands to make their own unique traffic light pictures and will be able to interact with a “car wash” in the water tuff tray, using sponges and soap to clean the cars. In the other tuff tray we will be setting up a construction site using sand to make their own “buildings” and use the diggers to break them down!

Butterflies Next week, our babies will be diving into the exciting world of vehicles as we explore road safety in a fun and sensory-rich way. Throughout the week, the children will enjoy picture books, listen to real vehicle sounds and sing along to their favourite nursery rhyme, “Wheels on the Bus.” In our sensory tuff tray, the Butterflies will get hands-on with a mix of textures such as 'cereal sand', 'jelly water', and a soft 'cocoa road', encouraging them to explore through touch, smell and even safe taste experiences. The babies will also strengthen their crawling and early walking skills as they reach for and chase different toy vehicles around the room. Finally, we’ll explore early mark making by rolling cars through paint, supporting creativity and early fine motor development.
