WHAT WE ARE LEARNING - WEEK COMMENCING 8TH SEPTEMBER 2025

What we are learning next week -

Clever Cats Next week in Clever Cats we are focusing on “All About Me”. Welcoming in all our friends back from the summer holidays and new faces too. The Clever Cats will be talking about their families and looking at differences between themselves and others. We will also be looking at the letter “a”. Our song of the week is “Body Parts Song” and the book of the week is “Our Class Is A Family”.

Clever Kittens Next week in Clever Kittens we will be introducing ourselves to our friends and learning full names during morning time. We will also be creating self portraits in the craft areas, looking at ourselves in the mirror and creating a picture from that. Our song of the week is “I Am Special” and the book of the week is “I Really Really Need A Wee”.

Ladybirds Next week the Ladybirds will be celebrating the theme “All About Me” — a fun and engaging way for children to explore who they are, their families and what makes them unique. Through playful, hands-on activities, we’ll encourage children to build confidence, develop language skills and celebrate their individuality.

Please could children bring a favourite toy to nursery next Friday for a special Show and Tell session.

Butterflies Next week in the Butterflies Room it is ‘All About Me’ week. For this we will be asking you to bring or send us any pictures of you and your family, we will be looking at these together. We will also be exploring our senses with a messy tuff tray using shaving cream, to explore smells and textures. PLEASE remember to bring spare clothes. Our song of the week is ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees And Toes’ and our book of the week is ‘Humpty Dumpty’.
