A Wonderful Reading Week in The Acorn Centre

During Reading Week at St Joseph’s College, the Pre-Reception children in the Acorn Centre had a wonderful time getting involved in all the fun activities. One of the highlights was the Fireside Reading session, where Sixth Form students read stories to them while they snuggled up with giant teddies and beanbags—creating a cosy and magical atmosphere. On World Book Day, the excitement continued as the children dressed up as their favourite book characters and enjoyed a special assembly. There, staff delighted them with a lively performance of Julia Donaldson’s A Squash and a Squeeze, bringing stories to life in a fantastic and fun-filled way.
