Job summary
Teaching and learning
1. Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school's schemes of work
2. Liaise with colleagues to deliver units of work in a collaborate way and plan focused activities
3. Work with teaching assistants and/or peripatetic staff
4. Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school's ethos
5. To be an exemplar teacher with the highest possible standards
6. Demonstrate good practice in your teaching area
7. Participate in all school training and development
8. To differentiate work with students from SEN to Gifted and Talented.
9. To promote the general progress of all students including pastoral areas
10. To work a minimum of two after school sessions per week to provide after school care
Assessing and reporting
1. Record students' work in accordance with EYFS using Tapestry learning journal and carry out two year old checks
2. Provide assessment reports to monitor student progress
3. Liaise with parents and attend consultation evenings
4. To use the school portal as required
Management
1. Support and challenge the senior staff at all times
2. Understand issues relating to the organisation, ordering and funding of resources
3. Support and uphold the school's policies on behaviour, discipline and bullying
Standards and quality assurance
1. Support the aims and ethos of the school
2. Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance
3. Attend and participate in open evenings and pupil performances
4. Uphold the school's behaviour code and uniform regulations
5. Participate in staff training
6. Attend team and staff meetings
7. Support and uphold the school values
Other duties and responsibilities
To participate in all aspects of nursery school life at Finborough which on occasional annual events work on a Saturday.
To work the first bank holiday in May.
