Job Type: Permanent Full-time and Part-time available

Key Responsibilities:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

• Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality EYFS provision for children aged 0-5.
• Create a nurturing, supportive environment with positive behaviour management strategies that promote children's social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with the nursery team to deliver EYFS-aligned learning activities, ensuring every child’s holistic development.
• Work under the guidance of the Lead Nursery Practitioner and Nursery Manager to maintain high standards of care and education.

Curricular Duties:

• Deliver age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS framework to meet each child’s individual needs.
• Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, maintaining detailed records.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on children’s developmental milestones.
• Support children’s independence and self-confidence, using play-based and interactive approaches to engage curiosity and learning.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages positive behaviours and motivates children to learn.

Key Skills & Qualities:

• Passion for early years education and working with children aged 0-5.
• Ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with parents, carers, and team members.
• A nurturing approach and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each child.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Awareness of SEND and ability to implement best practices to support children with additional needs.
