Job summary
An exciting opportunity to join Ducklings at St. Margaret’s, a long-established setting in Horsforth Leeds.
We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work as a member of the nursery team, showing initiative and creativity to foster an environment which encourages the children’s all-round development and where high standards of care are provided and to be able to take over the running of the group in the absence of the Manager.
We need a reliable team member, working co-operatively and with flexibility, someone that understands that each child is an individual and has a general understanding of childcare and child development, who is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn at their own pace and be treated as an individual.

The post is full-time all year, with 6.5 weeks paid annual leave plus all bank holidays, enrolment in our pension scheme and a free uniform.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Early Years Level 3 qualification or above.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Minimum grade 4 (C) or above in English.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working within a nursery or educational setting.
