Job summary

You will work as a key person within our nursery, working within a designated age group, age 2 to preschool age – dependent on experience. As part of your daily role, you will take an active part in assessment, planning and delivering age/stage appropriate activities and environment enhancements as well as working as part of a small team to provide a safe and secure environment for our youngest children.

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

Hours: 8am-6pm Monday and Tuesday year-round and a Thursday term-time only.

Candidates can work additional hours, as on call/absence cover, on a 0 hour basis, paid at the same hourly rate.

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Job Description:

Person Specification:

  • Childcare qualification, NVQ Level 2 is essential
  • NVQ Level 3, would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of working in a nursery or childcare
  • SENCO experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • A confident communicator with both adults and children
  • A passion for delivering high-quality childcare and early education
  • A positive, hard-working, can-do attitude
