We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and
experienced Baby Room Practitioner to join our
growing team at Wood Wharf Kindergarten. This role is
perfect for someone with a nurturing nature and a passion for
supporting the development of babies from 3 months to 2 years.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Baby Room Practitioner, you will be instrumental in
nurturing our youngest children and supporting their physical,
emotional, and cognitive development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering stimulating, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting routines including feeding, napping, and hygiene care
- Observing and tracking developmental milestones in line with the EYFS
- Building strong relationships with babies and their families
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and emotionally secure environment
- Working collaboratively with your room team to ensure consistency and high standards of care
You’ll Need:
- A full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification (DfE-approved)
- Experience working with children under 2 in a nursery or early years setting
- A sound understanding of the EYFS, particularly for babies and toddlers
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
