Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Secondary Room Leader/ Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children.

Duties

• Provide attentive and compassionate care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement engaging educational activities that support the developmental needs of each child.
• Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a collaborative environment.
• Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Support the leadership team in implementing policies and procedures that enhance the quality of care provided.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of nursery practices and early childhood education principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike.
• Proven experience in managing groups of children in a childcare setting.
• Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
• A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their individual needs.
• Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through creative play and exploration.
• Previous experience in childcare settings is highly desirable, along with relevant qualifications in early years education.
• Should have knowledge of EYFS.
