Pre School Room Leader

Job summary

We’re looking for an inspiring and experienced Room Leader Level 3 to join our well-established nursery team at Little Rascals Pre-Prep in Tunbridge Wells. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving, well-led nursery that continues to grow, where your ideas, energy and passion for early years education will make a genuine difference every day.

As a setting we take children 2 to 4 years across two base rooms.

We are located in central Tunbridge Wells very close to mainline train station and bus routes.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• To oversee the day to day running of the room.
• To be approachable for parents and staff.
• To be responsible for the care, well-being and safety of all children and staff.
• To ensure high standards of care and education are maintained.
• To take an active role within the senior management team.
• To ensure the base room runs smoothly and is clean, tidy and presentable at all time
• To ensure adherence to health and safety policies and practice.
• To ensure all room and Nursery policies and procedures are adhered to.
• To respect and maintain confidentiality.
• To inform the Nursery Manager of any problems, children’s illnesses and absences.
• To induct, train, coach, mentor and supervise the Nursery practitioners.
• To identify training needs.
• To organise room meetings to ensure good team working.
• To carry out assessments and cohort tracking.
• To ensure the children’s dietary and allergy needs are met and all staff are aware
