About us:
Tot’s Village Nursery is a small, independent, family run
nursery in Caterham, Surrey established in 1994.
The purpose-built nursery, with extensive gardens, aims to provide a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment, where each child is treated equally and welcomed into a warm and homely environment.
The nursery offers high standards of care for children aged between three months to five years old and operates for 51 weeks per year. We have a dedicated team of staff who are experienced in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage and are committed to promoting the well-being of each child in our care. We place high priority on training and have a highly qualified team.
About the role:
This is an exciting position for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Early Years Practitioner. You will be working with a dedicated team in a family-friendly environment which is inviting to children, parents and staff. The specifics of the role are as follows:
- Permanent – Full time - Flexible working patterns: (The choice if yours!)
* 36 hours over 4 days*
*36 hours with flexi over time*
* 40 hours over 4 1/2 days*
* 40 hours over 5 days*
- Work closely alongside the other staff members, Deputy Manager, Manager and Owners
- Be a positive role model at all times for both staff and children
- To be a key person within the setting
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS, ensuring all children are supported with their development
- Committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Facilitating partnership with parents and carers

You need:
- A full and relevant Level 3 or above childcare qualification
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework, regulations and Ofsted requirements
