Job summary

We are Elm Park, based in SW4 8JR, a Montessori nursery which thrives on positivity, friendship, and a passion for children’s Early Education – could you join our growing and aspirational team as a Room Leader?
This opportunity will come with training to help enhance your Continuous Professional Development; however, familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage is required.
As a Room Leader, we ask for the following qualities and duties:

·  Feel comfortable with running a team and classroom,

·  Provide and cater stimulating ideas that support the children’s education and unique experiences!

·  Perform an important role in caring for children and providing high-quality care standards,

·  As a Room Leader, you would be responsible for reporting to the Nursery Manager,

·  Contribute to the effectiveness of teamwork.

·  Plan activities factoring in children’s abilities, interests, language, and cultural backgrounds,

·  To assist in the development and support of other staff members by communicating effectively, sharing knowledge and experience, and delegating tasks appropriately,

·  To respect and value all colleagues, children, and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment.

·  To co-operate and work effectively with the manager, and positively promote awareness across policies and procedures to team members,

·  Be a key person by carrying out all related responsibilities such as building relationships with a small group of children and their families,

·  Key persons are responsible for ensuring key children have an appropriate target set each week, which will form part of the planning,

·  To be responsible for the welfare of all children in your designated room, organising systems to ensure consistent, high-quality care,

·  To work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust, open communication, and involvement in nursery life,

·  Continual communication with parents via EY log,

·  Attend monthly staff meetings.
