Job summary

We are currently recruiting an Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly Nursery team, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children, from 6 months to 4 years of age.

Day-to-day tasks include working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to promote the well-being of the children, implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and assisting with creative displays within the Nursery.

You will have experience of working within a similar setting and be able to provide a fun and stimulating learning environment. You will have a childcare qualification, ideally an NVQ Level 2 or 3, and be familiar with the EYFS curriculum. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Salary: Salary discussed at interview

Hours: Full-time or part-time, working Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6.00pm, varying shifts, on an all-year contract.

Holidays: 5.6 weeks paid holiday (inclusive of the usual statutory holidays)

Pension: Nest Pension Scheme

Skills / Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Be enthusiastic and hardworking.
  • Have an interest in the care
  • learning and development of young children
  • GCSE A-C/4 – 9 or equivalent in English & Maths
  • A sound understanding of early childhood development and learning
  • Exce lent communication ski ls
  • Able to work as part of and lead a team
