Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and your colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education to children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development accurately.
  • Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Support the management team in implementing nursery policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3).
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable for potential off-site activities or outings.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to providing the best possible care for children.
