Burnage
Hours: Full-time, all-year-round

passionate and inspiring Room Leader to join our warm and supportive

Your Role at a Glance
As Room Leader, you’ll lead by example—guiding your team,
championing children’s learning, and ensuring the room runs smoothly day-to-day.
Teaching, Learning & Child Development
Create a warm, engaging, and inclusive environment where every
child thrives.
Lead the planning and delivery of the EYFS
curriculum, tailoring learning to children’s needs and
interests.
Support team members in providing outstanding
teaching, particularly in communication, personal, social, and
physical development.
Track progress through accurate
observations and assessments, using data to inform next steps.
Work in partnership with parents to share children’s learning journeys
and celebrate achievements.
Promote equality, inclusion, and
respect for every child’s background and individuality.
Leadership & Team Support
Motivate and mentor your team to uphold high standards of care
and education.
Lead room meetings, supervisions, and coaching
sessions with practitioners and apprentices.
Support the
induction of new staff, embedding best practice from day one.
Liaise closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure consistent staffing,
routines, and communication.
Uphold a culture of safeguarding,
ensuring that all team members understand their responsibilities.
?? Operational & Compliance
Ensure the room complies with EYFS, safeguarding, and health
& safety policies.
Maintain accurate records including
learning journeys, risk assessments, and daily checks.
Manage
ratios, transitions, and routines to support a calm and well-organised
environment.
Model excellent hygiene, care routines, and safety
practices at all times.
What You’ll Need
A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or
equivalent).
Proven experience in a senior practitioner or
leadership role within an early years setting.
Strong
understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding responsibilities, and child
development.
A team-focused attitude with strong communication
and leadership skills.
A genuine love for early years education
and a desire to make a lasting impact.
