About Us

Domi Domingo is not your average nursery. We’re proud to have achieved two consecutive OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ gradings (most recently in Nov 2024). We’re a Forest School setting, which means outdoor learning is at the heart of what we do.

We’re also:

  • Multilingual and diverse – celebrating different cultures and languages.
  • Organic and eco-friendly – teaching children to live healthily and care for the environment.
  • Supportive and career-focused – we invest in staff training and development.
  • Internationally connected – with a sister nursery in Lithuania, where staff can share knowledge and experience.

We don’t just recruit based on qualifications (though you’ll need a Level 3 childcare qualification for this role). We’re looking for someone who shares our values and ethos.

Purpose of the Role

To be an outstanding Deputy Room Leader – supporting the Room Leader, leading by example, and helping to create a safe, happy, and inspiring environment for children, staff, and families.

  • Give feedback, celebrate good practice, and help tackle underperformance if needed.
  • Keep up to date with new ideas and best practice in early years.

Parents & Families

  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents.
  • Support children’s transitions into and out of the room.
  • Help with parent groups, stay & play sessions, and nursery events.

Organisation & Safety

  • Ensure staff ratios are met and adjust staffing when needed.
  • Make sure policies, procedures, and risk assessments are followed.
  • Carry out daily checklists and paperwork accurately.
  • Support during inspections, visits, and meetings.
