Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding in Early Years. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Your role will involve engaging with children, assisting in their development, and collaborating with other staff members to provide high-quality childcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintaining a clean, organised environment.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
• Observe and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to senior staff as needed.
• Help maintain records of children's development and any incidents that may occur.
• Drive initiatives that encourage children's social skills and emotional growth through play-based learning

Requirements

• Previous experience in childcare is preferred.
• Level 2/3 childcare qualification.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
• A valid driving licence would be great but not essential
• A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
