We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Babies Room Leader to join our amazing nursery team. As a Room Leader, you will be key to the development and growth of the children at the setting, the smooth running of the Babies room and a role model for your team.
Hours & salary:
- This role is full time: 7:30am – 6:30pm (40 hours with paid lunch breaks) condensed hours over 4 days with a day off during the week.
- From £30,000 to £31,500 (dependent on experience & qualifications)

Your Key Responsibilities:
- To provide the highest levels of care and education for all children attending the setting.
- Supervise, engage with, support, and meet the needs of the children
- Support, supervise and mentor playroom-based staff and students.
- Bring a positive attitude and creative ideas that inspire children to learn and staff to perform.
- Lead, prepare and join the children in engaging (and sometimes messy) activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Essential skills & qualifications expected as a Room Leader:
- Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Confidently lead a busy Babies room and a passionate team.
- Implement and support others in delivering the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelines.
- Proven experience of working in Early Years
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with adults and children.
Any necessary training will be provided through our engaging training platform.
About us:
As part of Monkey Puzzle Hartley Wintney, you will be joining our caring, welcoming and supportive team. We have been open since 2016 and are situated in a beautiful setting just outside Hartley Wintney. We are coming to the end of an exciting redevelopment project which includes refurbished staff facilities, the creation of a new room for our youngest babies, and an extension of our two gardens to include new natural learning environments for the children.
