Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Nuneaton is conveniently situated on the site of Nuffield Health’s Nuneaton Fitness and Wellbeing gym.

The nursery caters for children aged three months to five years, where they will be grouped into areas specially designed for their age and development.

The kind, caring staff work closely with parents to ensure children’s individual learning needs are met.

The nursery benefits from a home-from-home environment, delicious, healthy meals prepared on-site by the chef, and free gym membership with every full-time nursery place. They are uniquely qualified to teach your child to swim from the age of three years and support your child with being active.

Parents are supported by a flexible, inviting nursery, within which their children can flourish, children can immerse themselves in a wide range of fun, exciting resources and creative activities.

The nursery day can be split into sessions.

The morning session runs from 8 am to 1 pm and afternoon session from 1 pm to 6 pm, and the nursery accepts government funding

Full day sessions are from 8 am to 6 pm and the nursery offers an early drop off from 7.30am should this be required; this is at an additional cost.

    We have a number of nursery spaces dedicated to Early Years Educational Funding (to find out our availability please discuss your requirements with the Nursery Manager). Our Funding is offered “Term-Time” to support parents with consistent child/educational care. However, we do not offer term-time only places. Please refer to our T&Cs for more funding information.
    Allocation & Admissions Policy
    To support continuity of educational care a minimum of 2 All Day sessions are required. A Nursery Admissions Agreement must be completed prior to starting and a Deposit and Registration fee must have been paid. We will operate a Waiting List with priority of nursery sessions initially to existing parents and Full-Time places.

After my son had a bad experience with an allergy with a childminder, I was in a panic to choose anywhere suited for my son. I had contacted the manager & the team and my experience has been amazing from start to finish. Outstanding communication, thorough processes with allergies and you can tell that
the staff really love their job. Today was his second settle session and already feels like home to him.
The manager, one staff member in particular & the lovely team thank you for giving me the reassurance for my son to start this month thank you I would definitely recommend this nursery for anyone especially with children with allergies

My son attends this nursery and I only have positive things to say. The staff are all caring, attentive and always create a fun and nurturing environment (They have their very own sensory room which really helps calm my son).
The staff update us throughout the day using the app which is so reassuring
and the Manager is excellent at communicating with us and always responds in a timely manner.
Great nursery and will defo recommend to others.

After having our daughter at Nuffy Bear for the last year we can safely say shes in the beat place. The staff are always helpful and supportive and any queries or questions are answered quickly.
We chose Nuffy because it was the first nursery we visited that the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there
and the manager was so open, honest and helpful.

My son has been attending for 6 months now, he seems to really enjoy the setting. He loves the garden and is now progressing from the baby room to the toddler area. He has nice bonds with his key staff members and likes to have cuddles with everyone. I viewed 8 other nurseries before settling on sending
my little one to Nuffy Bear and I feel we made the right choice as he has settled well.

My daughter goes to Nuffy Nursery since October 2024.
She changed so much, improved her speech, her relationships with other kids and she's a lot more expressive and happy to be around external people as an only child.
The staff is really involved in my daughter's development and they always communicate
with us parents on different subjects.
The staff is like part of the family now, so thank you for being such an amazing team !

My child had attended Nuffy Bear since they were 9 months old. I loved it, the staff were wonderful, they were helpful, supportive and I trusted them completely. Unfortunately after three different managers things did not continue on that path and instead declined fairly rapidly. Many staff left (all
at once) which was a huge red flag and as a result the preschool was closed with only three hours notice. Some of the children knew they weren't returning before the parents had been informed. My child didn't get to say goodbye to their friends or the staff that were left. The manager refused to meet with parents to discuss it, instead opting for a notification via the Famly app, which until that point, had hardly been used. We were given no information on how long it would be closed for so it left us scrambling to find alternatives whilst also having to work. There are many reasons I wouldn't recommend Nuffy, unfortunately 1000 characters isn't enough to explain them all.

Thank you for leaving us a review following your child leaving the setting in March 2025. We are sorry that we had to temporarily close our preschool and for the disruption this caused your family. This was due to staffing difficulties as we had 3 staff leave and another off sick. It was a difficult decision but one we had to make to ensure we always adhered to ratios. No parent was denied any meetings; we encouraged parents to meet with us and the general manager individually so we could speak to each parent individually and respect each parent's concerns. Due to the time frame we had for sharing the news it was explained to parents via our communication app that was used daily with all parents. This enabled everyone to hear the news at the same time rather than waiting to speak to parents on handovers. Our preschool has now reopened, and staffing is all in place. We were unable to give a timeframe as we did not know how long it would take to recruit. Kind regards, Lucy Kerr.

My son has been attending this Nursery for approximately 9 months now and I am so happy we chose this nursery for him. Honestly the staff are amazing, so patient and helpful. During the early days when our Son was settling in, he used to cry at drop off and collection. The staff we are always so quick
at responding to messages on the app and reporting any concerns to us quickly. Our son has come leaps and bounds and is always very happy when attending nursery now and is full of joy on collection. He has learnt so much, even down to holding cutlery and his vocabulary has expanded. The staff are always updated the app and informing parents of what activities the babies have done and uploading pictures for us to see. The manager has always been so supportive and taken circumstances into consideration when necessary. Thankyou for all the work you all do at this nursery setting!

My child attended for almost 3 years, and it was great up until January of 2025, they started closing the nursery for full days with very late notice, and then put us all in a group chat and gave us 3 and a half hours notice of this "temporary" closure. We were not given a date, or even an rough time
frame of how long this "temporary" closure would be in place, we were told it could be 2 weeks, could be two months, and to just remove the children if we don't like it, its currently been 3 weeks, most of the children have left and they still wont give any updates, when asked, the replies are very robotic, we are told they are being honest with us, but seems like they are not. It has really effected my child as they had friends and bonds at the nursery. I have sadly had to remove my child. The free swimming lessons are often cancelled on the day, leaving the children disappointed. Regarding activities, my child often came home bored from nursery.

We understand how disruptive the temporary closure of the preschool provision has been for families and we apologise for the upset caused. We have experienced a difficult time with staffing and recruitment. Many settings are struggling to recruit and retain qualified staff, with a high percentage of staff leaving the sector. Many settings are relying on unqualified staff or apprentices, which can impact the quality of care and the safeguarding of children. This is not something we were willing to do so had to make the difficult decision to close our preschool whilst we worked on recruitment. We will always prioritise quality over quantity and aim to return to normal as soon as possible.Thank you for sharing your feedback, it is just a shame you were unable to raise your concerns regarding activities and your child being bored with us before now. We hope your child has settled well into their new setting and continues to do well in their journey to school.

Closed the pre school provision with a day notice, leaving parents without child care or means to find alternative options. Many Staff leaving has prompted this, you have to wonder why there is a mass exodus.
Poor management to allow this to happen and without giving parents and warnings, and no
date of a re opening, it will be at least 2/3 months! The children and parents will be the ones totally disrupted, shocking it's
been allowed to happen.
Pre school swimming lessons have not been happening, and a general decline in activity leading to bored children, (now now were due to staffing).

We understand how disruptive the temporary closure of the preschool provision has been for families, & we apologise for the upset caused.We are actively working to recruit the right team to ensure that we are once again able to provide the quality of care & consistency throughout the setting that everyone is used to & deserves.We are surprised by your comments regarding a decline in activities, as we have not had any concerns raised regarding this & we have had a number of exciting interests that have led to ongoing activities, which the children have enjoyed. Volcanos, children learnt all about volcanos, participated in a variety of activities based around volcanos. This interest was sparked following an interest in dinosaurs & learning about the end of the dinosaurs. We pride ourselves on being child led, this was documented in our Ofsted report where the inspector said the nursery curriculum is ambitious, with clear intentions for what they want children to achieve and learn.

Nuffy Bear is an amazing nursery! My little one has now been going for 6 months and really has settled. The staff members are so friendly and amazing! Our child has only been at Nuffy Bear Nursery for a short time but we know we picked the right place, there's a family feel about this nursery. The staff are so helpful and kind, they could not do anymore for the care of our child as she settled into the nursery so quickly which was a huge relief, they
provide a great variety of food whilst keeping it healthy and nutritious. The App is fantastic and it keeps you updated on their nap times, what they've eaten, when they've been changed, plus some photos of activities. Our child has become so sociable, she interacts with everything at the nursery which is helping her development massively. I cannot recommend this nursery enough, thank you to everyone at Nuffy Bear Nursery.

This review is based on the 8 months that my daughter has been attending.
Nuffy Bear Nursery is very good and the team are very friendly. All the staff regardless of the age group look after my daughter. She really enjoys going in and is very happy and content there.
The staff have been excellent
in helping support her to crawl, stand and finally walk. They also have been great in getting her to try out different types of foods and flavours.
The nursery has an app that lets you meals and nap times (though not always updated) which is useful. The app is also used to show activities, learning and development and pictures which is nice to see.
The only negative was at the start when my daughter joined the amount of milk she was drinking was not shown on the app and there were issues around changing of nappies and using correct wipes. This was rectified by working with the nursery manager and ensuring staff were made aware of the requirements. None of this is an issue anymore.

What a fantastic nursery! The staff are absolutely amazing. It took quite some time for our daughter to settle in when she first joined, however, the staff really helped make her feel welcome and comfortable. It's really easy to be kept up-to-date via the app, where staff regularly provide updates with
what our daughter has eaten and the amount of food eaten too - which is really useful to know. We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking to place their little ones here! Great job all around guys, well done!

I have known the Nuffy Bear Nuneaton team since 2018 when my son started. He is now off at school and my youngest now attends Nuffy Bear, although she too will be leaving for school this summer.
I can honestly say I'll be sad not to see the Nuffy Bear team any longer, all of the staff are truly wonderful,
kind and caring.
My daughter has made some lovely friendships at the nursery, with children and staff alike.
I can't thank the team enough for all of their hard work over the years looking after my two and I wish them all the very best and would certainly recommend Nuffy Bear to other parents.

My son has been attending Nuffy Bear Nuneaton since 2 years old. English is his second language and cannot praise the staff enough for supporting his journey. He is now fluent in English thanks to great care and support at Nuffy Bear. He was a bit shy at the beginning as well but after couple of months
he came out of his shell. Didn't have any problems with the nursery at all! The staff is always friendly and helpful! Meals are healthy and tasty! Great variation of food is offered on a daily basis! Really recommend the nursery!

I can't fault the care shown to my son since he joined at 10 months old and now he's ready to start school. The staff are lovely! Really brought him out of his shell as a socially neglected covid baby. The extra swimming time has been fantastic. The meals are varied and nutritious. I'll be sad when
he leaves.

My daughter has been with Nuffy Bear for 2.5 years so far, and I plan to keep her there until school age. She absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff are wonderful and caring. Truly an asset to the nursery. We are kept updated throughout the day via the app, so we can see what has been eaten, photos
of activities and progress reports. She comes home regularly with artwork, enjoys swimming at nursery, dance classes and so much more. I highly recommend Nuffy Bear.
