We were very disappointed to receive this review, particularly as the parent had not raised any questions with ourselves previously regarding the points raised. Following discussion with the parent after reading this review, she confirmed that she is very happy with the Nursery and her child still attends and is also happy. We explained the context of 2 years of her child being at nursery during the pandemic, and the challenges this has posed in terms of communication between home and nursery, however, we still advised her that we would hope and expect in future she could approach us directly with any issues. A plan of action has been agreed to ensure the parents' points are addressed (e.g. a written handover at the end of the day), however, we have stressed that as a nursery - while we use our online app to send some updates home to parents during the day, this does not take precedence over human interactions with the children, and that will always be our priority at nursery.
