We're sorry that you were upset this morning that you were asked to collect your son after the staff caring for him recorded a high temperature. It is not unusual for temperatures to fluctuate, which is why we also take into account a child's general demeanour when assessing their physical wellbeing. Whilst we can't comment on your son's specific case on this forum, we would also be aware of other signs of illness, such as a child being very sleepy, not eating normally, seeming unhappy, or generally not being themselves. We will always put the child's wellbeing at the forefront of decisions in line with early years guidance.
