Thank you for your positive and constructive feedback about Henrys.
Our Nursery Cooks work very hard to ensure all the children have a balanced diet including our children with allergies, intolerances and food preferences. We pride ourselves in following the Government Public Health Guidance for Early Years Settings and one of the recommendations is to ensure children have a portion of protein at lunch and tea. Public Health have given the Early Years a range of recipes including the Beanie Dip which is a great source of protein. The management team are aware that some children do not like this dip and we have worked with the Cooks to serve it in a variety of ways but still ensuring the children get the balanced diet they need. This is also the first summer season in which the dip has been given to the children and with all new recipes, we give the recipe on a number of occasions before we can truly assess whether the dish is a success or not.
We have taken on board the comments about the children's individual trays and these have been cleaned out and tidied.
At Henrys over 60% of the staff have been part of the team for a range of 5-14 years service. We are aware there is a small percentage of children on our nursery who unfortunately this year have had a change of key person due to apprentice's completing their training and management moving from the rooms to the office. We are aware of this and have made sure this group of children have been placed with one of the long term members of staff along with the staff member the child has made a bond with.
We value your review and welcome any comments, so thank you for letting us know the positives and the things we can work on at Henrys to provide a better service.
