I'm glad you have seen the positive impacts on your child’s learning through our keyworker attachments and activities provided in the preschool unit.
The outdoor space for preschool is a smaller garden however the children really enjoy the mud kitchen space where lots of learning takes place through investigation, experimentation, discovery and mathematical language use during the day sessions.
The preschool unit has recently invested in large wooden outdoor play blocks that the children love - I hope you have heard lots about these too.
We are currently looking at astroturfing some of the mud kitchen flooring as we are aware that the mud can be walked down into the bottom play area and leave muddy marks.
I welcome you to come into one of our ‘parent event days’ so you can see how the space is used during the day by the children as at pick up time many of the resources will be packed away and maybe you do not see the garden space when in full use.
Thank you for your feedback. Please speak to the nursery manager if you have any ideas on ways to further improve the outdoor space.
