Thank you for your honest feedback, there is very strong research that supports child development and learning that children benefit when they have exposure to outdoor play no matter what the weather.  Unfortunately, your little girl was experiencing individual health needs and this may or may not have compounded her minor colds and coughs.  Children also in London experience high volume of pollution which is also impacting on younger children having respiratory issues.  I completely appreciate, your annoyance if your child's coat was wet and they were being sent home in wet clothing.  However, as childcare professionals, we will continue to allow children to have fun playing outside in rain, snow and windy weather as we know they develop stronger immune systems and resilience to infections and most importantly they have a huge amount of fun!
