Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, Heather. At Busy Bees Long Eaton we promote a strong key worker bond with all our children in our setting. This is promoted by the key worker and is supported by carrying out planned activities to challenge and stimulate the individual child’s learning and development. In the absence of the key worker the buddy system is used, the buddy key worker will have a sound understanding of the child’s development needs and will provide the primary care for your child during their time at nursery in the keyworkers absence. A handover from a member of the staff team is available at collection to discuss the child well-being during the day and the different activities the child has been involved in.
We offer a wide variety of educational activities which are implemented daily which support the seven areas of the early years foundation stage. Our pre-school also offer unique learning enhancements which are used alongside the planned activities and stimulating environment. These enhancements include shake and write, babble to chatter, problem-solving to mathematics and wake and shake. Activities for home are sent home to parents/carers on a regular basis from the key worker which relates to the individual child interests and learning experiences whilst at nursery. Parent evenings are also held throughout the year to discuss the child development and progress in detail. The key worker is always available to discuss matters relating to a child when need and learning journals are available to parents to view at all times. If you have any questions whatsoever we always welcome you to ask us in nursery, we are more than happy to go through any concerns or questions. Kind Regards, Laura Nursery Manager
