Dear Andrew, <br>Thank you for your review, I am surprised that you suggest newsletters as I only took over this provision late Nov/Dec 2015, in which time I have issued four newsletters outlining which topics we were covering, inviting parents to encourage their children to bring in associated items to share in circle time. We have introduced Jofli Bear who goes home with the children who are then invited with their parents to log activities they undertook with Jofli and their family, they can then share these experiences with their peers, a much enjoyed experience and valuable learning activity within the EYFS. All of the children have now got brand new, comprehensive learning journeys where their individual learning is recorded in every aspect of their development, any gaps are identified by our fully qualified team which includes a qualified teacher through observation and assessment this informs the planning ensuring we support every child to be school ready once they leave our pre-school care. I have looked into online learning journals and feel there are currently some shortcomings, I will continue to monitor this area of record keeping, if an outstanding systems appears on the market I will inform parents accordingly.
