These increased by 7% in 2022 and by between 8% and 10% in 2023. The 2023 price increase took effect from 1st March 2023. Our annual rates of increase are comparable to other local providers. Meals and snacks are included in our session prices. Earlier in 2023, Hopscotch did reduce opening hours by 30 minutes to 6 p.m. This was due to ongoing staffing challenges and it also brought Hopscotch in line with other competing local providers. Our consumables charge increased to £2.25/hr from 01.05.23, and to £2.70/hr from 01.09.2023. We are having to pass on a greater share of this cost due to underfunding by the government. We are mindful that the cost of our provision must always be competitive and we are confident that we are. For context, Botley had an occupancy level of 85.1% in July 2023.
