Bright Horizons Poole Montessori Day Nursery has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its recent Ofsted inspection report.
The nursery received its inspection on January 24th and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children. Inspection activities included the inspector looking at a sample of documents, which included the safeguarding policy and children’s progress records. Comments from the Ofsted report included:
• Children flourish in this extremely welcoming and highly stimulating environment. Staff make children’s safety and well-being a high priority. Children settle very quickly and form close bonds with the adults who care for them.
• Knowledgeable staff are extremely skilled at blending different teaching methods and using responsive planning to consistently provide highly challenging activities. Children make excellent progress in their learning.
• Management and staff are enthusiastic and committed to continually improving their practice to help children gain high levels of achievement.
“We are extremely proud that the hard work and dedication of our team has been recognised through our ‘Outstanding’ result.” said Nursery Manager Kerrie Podesta. “We strive each day to encourage children’s independence and a lifelong love of learning. In the words of Maria Montessori: ‘play is the work of the child.’”
