Children at Bright Horizons Leeds Day Nursery and Preschool recently created their own mini volcano in an experiment part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists enhancement.
As part of a science themed week last week at the nursery, the children looked at volcanos and used a variety of materials to create their own. The materials included containers and sand.
“We were delighted with the children’s application to the task of creating their own mock volcano,” said Nursery Manager Fiona Stewart.
Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement helps children to identify the scientific activities that occur in their everyday lives.
