Fairytales and modern classics at Swindon Day Nursery

World Book Day has been marked by a dressing up day at Windmill Day Nursery in Windmill Hill Business Park in Swindon.

Both children and practitioners dressed up in their favourite book characters and took part in a number of reading themed activities throughout the day. There were prizes for the most creative costumes.

Windmill Hill Nursery Manager Lora Worthington said:

“It may have been sub-zero temperatures outside, but at Windmill Hill Day Nursery we have been keeping warm with both story telling old and new this week. From the traditional Fairytales to more modern classics, all reading is good for children and it’s something we encourage throughout a child’s journey with us.”

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrator’s, books and reading and is celebrated annually in over 100 different countries.
