The staff at Kiddi Caru’s Bedford day nursery are celebrating after the nursery received a good rating from Ofsted.
Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages. They carry out a large number of inspections and regulatory visits across England.
The report highlighted that the nursery and management team are enthusiastic and dedicated and have a clear vision for the future. They regularly reflect, review and evaluate the provision, considering what impact developments are having on children's learning and development. Also noted was the fact that the staff's support and care for children who speak English as an additional language is good. They find out key words from parents and engage with external agencies to help them to support children's sustained progress. The report also mentioned that staff use observations and assessments of children well. They accurately identify children's next steps in learning and plan a good range of experiences to help them achieve positive outcomes in learning.
Hannah Buckley, Nursery Manager, said: “We’re all absolutely delighted with this new report from Ofsted. Our aim at all times is to provide the highest standard of care to give the children who come here the very best start in life, so to have achieved a good Ofsted rating is brilliant. I’m very proud of the team here, and they should be extremely proud of themselves too. They all do a fantastic job and without them the nursery would not be able to provide such a wonderful offering for the children and their parents.”
