Bright Horizons nurseries on Canary Wharf recently held a week-long first birthday party to mark one year of offering exceptional care and education to employees and residents on the Wharf.
The week saw a number of fun-filled activities with a Winter ‘One’derland theme taking place across the settings, these included each of the groups 7 nurseries opening their doors to prospective parents, with the week culminating in a Family Fun Day, hosted by Canada Square Day Nursery and Preschool and Columbus Courtyard Day Nursery and Preschool on behalf of the entire Canary Wharf group.
During the fun day, which was attended by more than 150 families, the children were able to meet Elsa from Frozen, have their faces painted and were also told an immersive polar adventure story.
Councillor Amy Whitelock Gibbs, Cabinet Member for Education and Children Services, also attended Canada Square Day Nursery and Preschool on the Thursday, and remarked how impressed she was with the facilities and learning environment provided by at the nursery, complimenting both indoor and outdoor play areas as well as the organisation’s health and safety theme, epitomised by health and safety mascot Candy Floss.
“We were delighted that Councillor Gibbs was able to come and visit our nursery and we thank her for doing so,” said Emma Van Rooyen, Nursery Manager at Canada Square. “It has been a fantastic year for all of our nurseries on Canary Wharf, and we are all looking forward to another year of offering exceptional care, education and family solutions to even more children, families and employers.”
