Children at Bright Horizons Active Learning West Hampstead nursery have increased their studying of dinosaurs recently by taking part in a number of themed activities.
Staff set up a tray with toy dinosaurs for the children to explore, which included shredded paper and bricks. The children had fun creating their own stories with the toy dinosaurs which included building a house for them to live in.
“This particular activity encouraged their personal, social and emotional development as they were able to play alongside others and in smalls groups,” said Nursery Manager Pauline Valentine-Coker. “It also helped develop their communication and language as well as their imagination.”
