An Aylesbury day nursery has raised over £600 for the Alzheimer’s Society at their Christmas Fayre. Practitioners, children and families at Grasshoppers Day Nursery on Wendover Road, worked hard to put on the event, donating prizes and organising activities. Visitors enjoyed the cake sale, nearly new sale and face painting. The big man in red even put in an appearance at Santa’s Grotto. Grasshoppers Manager Rachel Gooden said:
“We are delighted to have raised an incredible amount for this worthy cause, whilst having lots of fun. I would like to thank everyone who both donated their time and money into making this such a wonderful event.”
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity and provide expert information, training and support services to those who need their help. Their research programme focuses on improving care for people with dementia today and finding a cure for tomorrow.
