Children at Bright Horizons Active Learning Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool at Hornsey Cricket Club in London have played their part in raising money for charity through their own art exhibition.
The children’s Creative Energies exhibition last month raised more than £500 for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
“Every child in the nursery painted a canvas and we also had some beautiful framed paintings and drawings on display in the reception area,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Hannah Trampleasure. “In addition, we had a display of photographs taken by the children with their camera.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
