Santa’s elf helpers have been celebrated at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Cedar Park Day Nursery.
The nursery located on Bridge Farm Road helped to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and fundraise for the charity by taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society annual Elf Day event.
Children and practitioners have dressed up as elves and have enjoyed themed games, really helping to get the children in the festive spirit. There was also a Christmas raffle held.
Cedar Park Manager Emma Kemp said:
“The nursery resembled the North Pole today; there were some fantastic costumes. Christmas is a time where we traditionally fundraise for charity and at Cedar Park we take our commitments to local community seriously. Alzheimer’s is a disease which affects many people and we are proud to be supporting such an important cause.”
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity and provide expert information, training and support services to those who need their help. Their research programme focuses on improving care for people with dementia today and finding a cure for tomorrow.
