Bright Horizons Tunbridge Wells Day Nursery and Preschool has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ after receiving its recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on October 5th and was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children. Inspection activities included the inspector observing staff interacting with children and viewing both the indoor and outdoor learning environments. Comments from the Ofsted report included:
• Staff establish extremely positive and inspirational relationships with children, who develop incredibly positive levels of emotional well-being and self-worth.
• Children have excellent opportunities to develop their early writing skills. For example, older children independently write their first names and surnames.
• The manager expertly monitors the quality of outstanding care and teaching that staff provide. For example, she observes staff daily and routinely sets them highly challenging targets to enhance their teaching. She asks staff early years related questions daily to ensure that they have exceptional practice knowledge.
“The team works extremely hard every day to offer exceptional childcare to our families and we are extremely proud that this has been reflected in our inspection report,” said Nursery Manager Jo Curtis-Lawrence. “I’d like to congratulate our brilliant staff team, thank them for their hard work and also the parents for their continued support.”
