Bright Horizons Morton Mains Nursery in Edinburgh has been rated as ‘Very Good’ for its quality of care and support and quality of environment, in its latest Care Inspectorate report.
The Care Inspectorate states that it is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all children receiving a care service. It checks that services meet the principles of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), a national approach set up by the Scottish Government. Comments within the report included:
• Children had developed secure attachments to staff which helped them to feel safe and ready to enjoy the experiences available to them. • A variety of group work and events were successful in encouraging parents and family members to be part of nursery life. • The nursery provided a bright, welcoming, organised and safe environment.
“We are delighted by the positive comments in our latest Care Inspectorate report,” said Nursery Manager Karin Duguid. “The report outlines how children, parents and staff consistently come together as one team and enjoy the environment portrayed within our nursery.”
