Practitioners at the Ofsted-Rated ‘Outstanding’ Lavenders Day Nursery in Bedford have raised over £200 for charity.
They took part in a Fun Run Challenge in aide of the disabled children’s charity, Children Today. Every evening, from Monday to Friday, members of staff ran 5 miles down to the river and back. On the final day, four brave volunteers finished the challenge with an impressive 7 mile run.
Nursery Manager Juliana Di ‘Niro said:
“Well done to all the practitioners who took part in this fundraising effort. At Lavenders, we believe wholeheartedly in supporting the community through our charitable initiatives. Our thanks to all those who have donated to the cause.”
Children Today is a charity that raises funds to provide specialised equipment and services for children and young people with disabilities throughout the UK.
