Children at Bright Horizons First Class Nursery in Aberdeen have been enhancing their cooking skills via the organisation’s Creative Cooks enhancement.
On a recent open day at the nursery, the children took part in a Creative Cooks session which saw them practice a range of techniques. This included slicing fruits and vegetables safely, alongside Bright Horizons health and safety mascot Candy Floss, and mixing oats with syrup to create flapjack. They also experimented with a variety of herbs and spices to create their own dips.
“It was a great day and the children created some fantastic food,” said Nursery Manager Corrie Kitching.
Bright Horizons’ Creative Cooks enhancement aims to encourage creativity in cooking.
