Children at Bright Horizons Abbeymore Day Nursery and Preschool recently celebrated their graduation with an afternoon packed full of fun activities including arts and crafts, football and a party tea.
They also had a special visit from some of the animals from nearby Lockey Farm including Sam the lamb, Marmite the donkey and Skippy the donkey. The children spent their day meeting the animals and taking part in all the activities, which also included making a canvas of art and decorating photo frames.
“Every year we say goodbye to our children who are starting on their new adventure to big school,” said Sally Newell, nursery manager. “Some of our children have been here since babies so it’s an emotional time for both staff and parents. Every year we try and make our celebration a little different to the year before. This year, as a surprise, we invited our local family-run farm Lockey Farm to visit with some of their furry friends. It was lovely to see the excitement on the children’s faces as they saw the trailer arrive.”
