Staff and children at Barrow Butterflies Nursery in Clitheroe have had cause to celebrate, after receiving a GOOD rating from Ofsted.
The inspector, who visited the nursery in March 2017, praised the safeguarding procedures and the new locking systems at the nursery, saying “Security in the nursery building is secure. The manager and staff understand their roles and responsibilities to keep the children safe.”
The Ofsted inspector also commented on the nutritionally balanced home-cooked meals and snacks, adding “Children have access to well-resourced outdoor areas. This means there is plenty of opportunity for them to be physically active and have regular fresh air. Additionally, children take part in regular Forest School sessions. These sessions are used well to help extend children’s social and participation skills.”
Barrow Butterflies Nursery Manager Andrea Lord, who joined the nursery in early 2017 said, “Our latest Ofsted report is filled with praise for our staff and children and we couldn’t be prouder. We work hard to make sure that each day is filled with exciting learning opportunities and that our children are cared for in a safe and happy environment. We’re delighted that our latest Ofsted report reflects this.”
