Children at Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Crocus Early Years Centre nursery recently raised £600 for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children after holding its summer fayre.
The fayre also celebrated the nursery’s 15th anniversary on May 14th and stalls included a tombola, lucky dip, face painting, crockery smash and beat-the-goalie.
“We’d like to thank everyone for coming out to our summer fayre,” said Nursery Manager Anne Hunt. “Everyone had a great time and we were delighted to raise so much money for the foundation.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
