Bright Horizons Family Solutions®, a leading provider of high-quality childcare, early education and other services designed to help employees and families address the challenges of work and life, has announced it has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in 2017 by the Great Place to Work® Institute.
The award sees Bright Horizons recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the 12th successive year. The official award was received at a gala dinner hosted by Alexander Armstrong and held at Westminster Park Palace hotel in London on May 3rd, where Bright Horizons were ranked 12th overall out of 37 large category organisations, meaning those with 500 or more employees.
The methodology behind the ranking is one of the most rigorous available and uniquely comprises both an employee survey and an audit into our organisation’s management and HR practices. The award recognises the strength of our leadership and the range of innovative, creative and effective HR policies we have which creates our successful workplace culture.
"We are delighted to be recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the 12th successive year," said James Tugendhat, managing director international, at Bright Horizons. “It means a great deal to us to know that year upon year our people feel supported, as individuals and as professionals, and that they take pride in the work that they do. This award belongs to each member of our Bright Horizons family and is a direct reflection of the passion and dedication they bring to work each and every day.”
Tom O’Byrne, Great Place to Work® CEO, said, “We are delighted to see Bright Horizons on our Best Workplaces™ list again this year. It is a validation of the strength of their leadership and their commitment to creating the kind of culture which attracts and retains the best talent and where people have pride in what they do and want to do their best. The hallmark of a great workplace like Bright Horizons is that their policies and practices are designed around the employee; this employee focus helps attract and retain the talent essential for driving and sustaining competitive performance. It is no coincidence that high trust organisations like Bright Horizons also tend to perform better than their peers.”
